Former Positions:

Mr. Queet has had over 41 years experience in the field of land development and land management having joined the Department of Lands and Surveys in Labasa in 1963 as a technical assistant or survey cadet.

After completing his survey examinations in 1972 he was registered as a licensed surveyor in 1974. He served as a staff surveyor (or field surveyor) for a number of years before being promoted to Divisional Surveyor and served in all 3 Divisions (Western, Northern, and Central/Eastern).

In 1987 Mr. Queet was promoted to the post of Assistant Director Lands and in 1989 was promoted to Director of Lands and Surveyor General - a post that he occupied until 1998. During the period 1989 to 1998 Mr. Queet also acted as Permanent Secretary for Lands and Mineral Resources on many occasions.

In June 1998 Mr. Queet was appointed Director of Surveys and Valuation in the newly created Land Development and Resettlement Unit within the Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries, and Forests. He remained in that post until the end of the year 2000.

From the year 2001 Mr. Queet has been engaged as a consultant to private land developers.
