Mr. Paterson has over 50 year commercial experience in Fiji occupying many senior managerial positions and retiring in year 2000 following 20 years as General Manager/Director of Clyde Equipment Pacific Ltd.

He currently retains his Directorship. A member of the Rotary Club of Suva North since 1974 serving in a number of board positions including President in 1978.

He was appointed as a Trustee to the JP Bayly Trust Board of Trustees in July 2002.

Mr. Paterson is also a Trustee and Chairman of Project Heaven.

He has leadership positions in numerous sporting bodies and currently Honorary Secretary for Fiji Senior Golfers Association.
