Born at Lautoka on 8th May 1936.
Received primary school education at St. Thomas School, Lautoka.
Received Secondary education at Natabua Secondary School.
Wanted to go for further studies overseas, but funding was refused by the representatives of the Kshatriya Society of Navsari who were handling the affairs of the Kshatriya Mandal then, for some unknown reason.
After completing secondary school in 1954, found an agency job at V R Ram & Company on a salary of 5 pounds per month.
After a year, joined the firm of A. S. Farebrothers & Co. Ltd, managing their Lautoka office.
In 1964 opened up a Fiji office of S.E.Tatham & Company Pty. Ltd of Melbourne as Fiji Manager for their firm.
In 1972, branched out in a partnership agency firm of Vagh & Bhindi Limited, and now the firm of Vagh & Company Limited, in partnership with my eldest son Rakesh Vagh.
In the same year 1972 was elected President of Lautoka Chamber of Commence and Industry, which position am still holding.
Have also served as President of Fiji Chamber of Commerce and Industry for three terms in 1986-1988 and 1990-1992 and 1999-March 2001.
Also served on Fiji Trades & Investment Board and Ports Authority of Fiji and Civil Aviation of Fiji as Board member. Currently am chairman of Bayly Welfare, Lautoka.
In 1960 acted as Lautoka agent for Damodar Brothers (Films) Ltd who had then opened up their distribution of Hindi films in Fiji. In 1978 joined hands with Damodar Brothers Films Ltd, calling ourselves Damodar and Vagh Limited and leased the Globe Theatre Ltd Lautoka for 20 years. In 1999, joined the Village Force Corporation and started operating the Village 4 cinema in Lautoka.
In 1995, awarded an MF (Member of the Order of Fiji) Medal for the meritorious service in Fiji by the then President, Ratu Sir Kamisese Mara.
Also received 25th Independence Anniversary Medal in 1995.
Married to Ruxmani for now 40 years, have 3 sons, 2 daughters-in law and 2 grand children.
